Bahçeşehir University (BAU) is a private foundation university in Istanbul, founded in 1998 by the Bahçeşehir Uğur Education Foundation. It has about 17,000 students and teaches in English and Turkish.
BAU has eight faculties, including engineering and natural sciences, medicine, dentistry, health sciences, business, law, communication, architecture and design, and educational sciences. It has campuses and partner centres abroad, including in Berlin, Rome, Toronto, Washington D.C. and Silicon Valley, and more than 190 international partner universities.

For international students
BAU welcomes students from Pakistan for English-taught bachelor's, master's and PhD programmes. Main intakes are September and February.
Private (foundation) universities in Turkey admit international students mainly on the basis of their high school or bachelor's results, so entrance exams are usually not required. English-taught programmes need proof of English (such as IELTS or TOEFL) or a pass in the university's own English test; otherwise you can join a one-year English preparatory programme. After admission you apply for a Turkish student visa and then a student residence permit in Turkey. Many universities offer tuition discounts for international students.
