Lappeenranta, Finland
LUT's main campus is in Lappeenranta in south-eastern Finland, on the shore of Lake Saimaa, Finland's largest lake. The second campus is in Lahti, about an hour from Helsinki, in a renovated factory building.
Both are safe, green, mid-sized cities with lower living costs than Helsinki.
For international students
LUT welcomes students from Pakistan for English-taught bachelor's and master's programmes. LUT offers scholarships for non-EU students, including an early-bird discount (see our Scholarships page).
Most English-taught programmes in Finland start in late August or early September. Applications for the autumn intake usually open around December–January through the national Studyinfo service or the university's own portal. Students from outside the EU pay tuition fees, and Finnish universities offer scholarships that can cover part or all of the fee. After admission you apply for a Finnish student residence permit, which normally lets you work part-time while studying.
