Istanbul Medipol University is a private foundation university founded in 2009. It has grown quickly to almost 50,000 students (2025), with 12 faculties, 5 institutes and 4 vocational schools.
Medipol is best known for medicine, dentistry, pharmacy and health sciences. Its Medipol Mega University Hospital is one of the largest hospitals in Turkey, with 810 beds and international JCI accreditation. It also teaches engineering, business, law, communication and fine arts.

Medipol's main campus is in Kavacık, on the Asian shore of Istanbul near the Fatih Sultan Mehmet Bridge, and its Haliç campus is on the Golden Horn. The Medipol Mega University Hospital is in Bağcılar, on the European side.
